I love this so much. Growing up with a learning disability iv had to face similar situations. Im a dancer. I love art. But i was terrible at math. In junior high my grade was poor. What was their solution? I was not allowed to take an elective. This in included art, music and drama. Instead that time was replaced with an additional math class.
In high school I was involved with drama, choir, and dance. I was able to score 3 parts in my high schools musical as a freshman which was one of my proudest moments. But my academics where poor. Schools solution? Ban me from the musical. That way i could “use that time get my grades up.” Did that actually help my grades? No. Just made me depressed.
And here I am years later in college as a Theater major. And even in college I’m still taking pre algebra. I always wondered how much it would have effected me if i could have taken the classes in school that i was passionate with.
Wait a second, am I tripping balls?

I’m still amazed how this keeps getting notes, like, right when I think it dies out, boom! It pops up again. I dunno, just some random thoughts I thought I’d say. Carry on.
